FOR DANCERS + ATHLETES · AGES 10+
Pilates + Performance
Strong movement foundations for every kind of athlete.
Pilates-inspired control, Progressing Ballet Technique and age-appropriate strength training come together to help young athletes build stability, coordination, mobility and confidence—in any sport.
BUILT FOR HOW ATHLETES MOVE
More control. Stronger foundations. Greater confidence.
Young athletes spend hours practicing the skills of their sport. Pilates + Performance gives them focused time to strengthen the movement foundations underneath those skills.
Power
Improve how the upper and lower body work together during complex athletic skills.
Control
Help athletes recognize their alignment, weight placement and movement habits.
Stability
Build trunk and hip control to support running, kicking, throwing and changes of direction.
Balance
Develop greater control in single-leg positions, transitions and uneven movements.
PURPOSEFUL TRAINING
Why Pilates and PBT work together.
Pilates develops controlled strength, mobility, breathing and trunk stability. Progressing Ballet Technique uses structured repetition and purposeful equipment to help students feel alignment, weight placement and muscle engagement.
Together, these methods train the connection between the brain and body—helping young athletes recognize and repeat more efficient movement patterns.
Neuromuscular Control
Repeated, carefully coached movement helps athletes improve how quickly and accurately their muscles respond to a task.
Proprioception
Stability balls, resistance bands and balance challenges give athletes feedback about where their body is positioned in space.
Progressive Development
Exercises advance according to control and technical readiness—not simply age, speed or how much resistance a student can use.
Pilates + Performance is a supplemental strength and movement-development class. It is not physical therapy, rehabilitation or a substitute for medical care.
BEYOND THE DANCE STUDIO
One foundation. Many ways to perform.
Every sport looks different, but strong athletes share the same foundation. Barre-based training develops core stability, alignment, balance and control — building stronger movement patterns that support performance and help reduce injury risk.
